About Landis Lain
Landis Lain began her writing career in the first grade. An avid romance and mystery reader, Landis graduated from Michigan State University (Go Spartans!) and snaffled a law degree because her mother told her "writers starve so get a real job!"
After penning many stories, Landis dusted off her courage enough to send a few out to publishers. The young adult novel 'Daddy's Baby' debuts as reverential prose to her muse; young people. Landis has won the Michigan Land Contest for her story Dead King Furniture. Her short story Rusty Feet was published in Chicken Soup for the African American Soul and Color Him Father. Correct Madness: Diary of a Mad Corrections Officer was her first full length publication. She has written for the Lansing State Journal Community Advisory Board.
Landis also teaches Writing Composition to 1st year college students. She writes young adult fiction, adult fiction, creative non-fiction, contemporary romance, and short stories. She loves books, dance, theatre and sports. She especially loves her husband and spending time with her children (birth and of her heart) - when they squeeze her into their busy social lives.
